The Administration and Management service of the Institute of Neurosciences is responsible for the administrative organization, the economic and budgetary management of the Institute, the management of research projects and channels the procedures related to human resources.
All its activity is focused on administrative and management support to research groups, as well as technical services, and is carried out in collaboration with the central institutions of the CSIC and the UMH. The Institute of Neurosciences is a joint center of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH).
The administration generally performs functions in the area of human resources, economic-financial management, contracting and assets area and also management of projects and contracts:
- Financial management: economic budget and accounting of the center. Treasury.
- Economic management and justification of research projects and contracts.
- Human Resources Management: files for civil servants, permanent employees and contracted employees, social security procedures, and temporary residence permits, as well as work accidents, licenses, permits and vacations.
- Management of selection processes and calls, CSIC job pool.
- Management of civil servant and mixed contracted personnel that make up the center’s staff in relation to the administrative regime of the CSIC and the UMH as appropriate.
- Management of the internal accounts of each research project. Payment of invoices, per diems and travel expenses of research staff.
- Payment of expenses attributable to internal accounts.
- Secretariat and preparation of the minutes of the Board of the Institute.
- Monitoring and resolution of audits and appeals.
- Collaboration with the area of Occupational Risk Prevention and occupational health.
- Management and justification of supply and service contracts.
- Management of the centralized purchase of goods, assets and inventory.
