Research technician position available in the López-Bendito’s laboratory

We are seeking for highly motivated Research Technician with a strong background in molecular biology techniques to support the research lines of the laboratory supported by grants from the European Research Council, La Caixa Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Our research topic is to understand the programs involved in the development, plasticity, and reprogramming of sensory circuits (http://lopezbenditolab.com). In particular, our aim is to uncover the principles underlying modality-specific sensory circuits formation, maintenance and plasticity following sensory deprivation, through an integrated and innovative experimental programme (see Science 2022; Neuron 2021; Science Adv 2021; Science 2019; Nat Comm 2017). These include in vivo meso-scale imaging in embryos, electrophysiology and manipulation of gene expression in vivo, cell and molecular biology and cell culture.
We are looking for a research technician to cover the following duties: Virus production, gene editing and cloning,quantitative PCR, genotyping, single-cell RNA sequencing, cell lines. Candidates should have these qualifications: (1) FPII (Professional Training) or a degree on biomedical field, (2) experience with molecular biology techniques, and (3) experience in rodents handling.
Desired skills: Good planning skills, detail-oriented, well organized, teamwork skills, strong initiative and innovation abilities, ability to learn tasks quickly, enthusiasm and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Working conditions: Employed in compliance with Spanish legislation and regulations under a full-time contract.
