The Alliance of Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence and María de Maeztu Units of Excellence (SOMMa) and the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) are organizing the SOMMa Connect event, which will take place on September 22–23, 2026, at the auditorium of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (Carrer Dr. Aiguader, 88 – 08003 Barcelona).

SOMMa Connect is a meeting aimed at bringing excellent research closer to the business environment and the innovation ecosystem by fostering dialogue and collaboration between academia, industry, investors, and entrepreneurs, while promoting knowledge transfer and the development of new opportunities around innovation and disruptive technologies.

The SOMMa Connect program will feature leading institutional representatives in the field of innovation at both regional and national levels, as well as presentations of successful innovation case studies from SOMMa centres and units. To encourage interaction and networking among attendees, a networking “tardeo” event will also be held (limited capacity).
