Call for Head of Human Brain Organoid Core Facility, linked to the 2023-26 “Severo Ochoa” Award for Spanish Centres of Excellence
The Institute of Neuroscience (IN) is launching a recruitment call for Head of Human Brain Organoid Core Facility, linked to the 2023-26 “Severo Ochoa” Award for Spanish Centres of Excellence.
We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated researcher with ample experience in the generation, maintenance, and characterization of human iPSCs, iNeurons and Organoids. We offer a contract until the end of the project (31st of December 2026) with possibility of consolidation.
Who can apply?
• The call is open to researchers of any nationality, with direct and extensive expertise in the technical area described above.
• Mobility is desirable. Applicants with international research experience on human iPSCs and organoids for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior the application deadline will be positively considered.
Appointment conditions
The appointed researcher will receive an employment contract with a gross annual salary of 39,000 €, and will pursue their research in a highly collaborative environment, with no teaching duties.
The contract will be issued in accordance with Spanish laws and regulations, and the researcher will be enrolled in the general Spanish Social Security System, which includes full health insurance coverage for both the researcher and their family members.
Additional incentives may be discussed during the interview with selected candidates.

Selection Process
A Selection Committee will assess the applications received and may request on-line interviews with the candidates.
Candidates will receive notification of the evaluation process by the end of October. Incorporation to the IN is expected by January 2026.
